With another shower program coming to SLO and operating four days a week ("Shower the People)" we were duplicating services...so in our fifth year of providing close to 6,000 showers to our unhoused guests who had no other way to get clean, we closed down operations at the United Church of Christ location on Los Osos Valley Road. We thank "Shower the People" for continuing a shower program!
WE PASSED ON OUR MOBILE SHOWER TRAILER TO WENDY BLACKER AND HER NONPROFIT "805 STREET OUTREACH" IN NORTH COUNTY -- they began their own shower program and serve north county with showers, as well as going to Morro Bay twice a month to provide showers for folks on the coast...
